hello! im so shag this week. i have to wake up at 7 plus and go to work from monday to friday, then i have to wake up at 7 plus for drum and i woke up at 9 plus today for my cousin's wedding. argh, i'm so not used to it. i'm super tired.
yesterday we had 3 full dress rehearsals during drum practice and it was crazy. crazy tiring. my arms were aching and err.. i hate to say this, there seems to be something wrong with my wrist. my right wrist hurts every now and then but its getting more often now, i experienced the pain for 2 consecutive weeks alr. damn it. i dont know whats the reason for this but i hope some stretching and warm ups can prevent this =\
oh yeah and this week is going to be a busy one. moonfest is coming up and it will be on from 10th to 14th september. zingo will be performing in it. performance time varies on different days so if you are interested you can check out the timings.
okay for moonfest.. i'll be honest, i didnt really put in 100% belief that i will be able to perform at moonfest until this week, when i started my attachment. for now i hope everyone would give it their best, i think some people are not good enough. how many years have we been playing drums? are we really serious about drumming? i think we would have been better if all of us just put in a little more effort. ok what i mean is the drum troupe will have some drummers who are just plain talented (like me), ok just kidding.. and some who are not as good. we all know that for a drum performance to be good, drums beat as one and drummers move as one. so how the heck can we put up a good performance when some drummers are still unsure about the score, still depending on others to constantly remind them of what to play now, what to play next. you know, when it comes to playing drums. if you're off, you're off. now the problem is what if you're off when you're still performing? its a no brainer that you still need to continue playing the score but if you continue playing that off sync-ed shit like no one's business then you really have no brains. pardon me if i sound very rude or something but this is business, no joking around. ok back to the topic, you gotta get back in sync with the others playing the correct thing and i know its kinda hard if you're not that good (like me, LOL JUST KIDDING!). i dont think we lack the skills to play the score well but i think we dont know the score well enough. if you're playing wrong stuff, you can easily get it back if you really know the score. the bottom line is, get to know the score better. of course im not saying that you can make mistakes as you want during performance as long as you can get back into the score. i still hope that performances would be as perfect as it can be, i just hope people dont make mistakes and continue making them. it may spoil the performance and maybe the next thing you know is you got some haters around you, waiting to teach you a lesson. LOL
ok thats all for today, i still got work tmr. you're dismissed.
