haha im at work now, after so long! the office is damn empty now, all of the people went for a meeting.. except me. lol. i can hear all the calls coming in and no one is answering them, feels a bit weird tho.

but now im free to do stuff, hahaha! oh yeah and i just changed font color for your link, stupid ruohan. im not biased one ok, i changed ziming's one also but i dont know what color you want so i just put purple. i feel a bit free with time now, haha.

yesterday moonfest performance was ok but the pants obstructed me from going up on the drum and it was stuck to the drum stand when i was moving the drum after the performance. there's something wrong with it and i dont know what. i dont know how the other performances went, hope it went well!

    YAY! I HAVE RECOVERED!

great news! my platelet count has SHOT UP from 113 to 189 and is now at normal level!

and i got a new wallet! yay! woo! hee! haa! ho! LOL!

anyway im glad that some people care about me and they show it, im really glad that these friends exist. thanks and lots of love to those of you who showed concern when i was sick.

but i realised quite a lot of people i know, or should i call them friends? hmm nevermind, they dont really show that they care. but then not everyone is perfect, i have decided to be more caring and stuff. its kinda scary when i dont know what is happening to me, like wtf are these red spots on my body? are they evil?

but anyway its over. i'll be going back to work next monday. AADK! I DREAD WORKING! DAMN! i wanna go back to school!

    dengue fever
    Monday, September 22, 2008

i went to the polyclinic this morning and i had the doctor look at the red spots on my arms and legs and he said there's a possibility that i have dengue fever. then i went to have a blood test and it turns out that my platelet is slightly lower than normal levels so the doctor told me to go back on wednesday and have another blood test to see whether it goes back to normal level. well if it does then im recovered and free! i wanna feel lively again. the few days of fever was so irritating, the headache was like killing me. now i feel better but since my platelet count is low i still have to get lots of rest and lots of water.

looking forward to get alive again. hahaha. see you guys soon!

hello! I am currently blogging on my iPod touch! Hhaha this is fun

    hello! Testing!

    undeniable

hello guys and girls. i am now convinced that the iphone is really a powerful phone. ipod touch is THE most powerful mp3 player i have ever encountered, its one of its kind. the applications you can install in an iphone or ipod touch is really good, lots of stuff can be done with it. you can actually ftp to your ipod touch! im really impressed by the technology of the ipod touch, it has wifi and its not put to waste. appstore, cydia and installer and a whole lot of 3rd party applications make use of its wifi to the best. imagine downloading songs to your ipod touch via wifi in just a matter of seconds! you can also download videos from youtube to your ipod touch, so much can be done! now there are games by game developers such as EA, THQ etc etc on the ipod touch. Apple is good, really good. jailbreaking is also damn good =x

crash bandicoot is fun! spore is quite fun too!

Gah I can't blog using my iPod

    and also

'I will be on Reservists from 22/09/08 to 04/10/08'

    =x

moonfest is over! i think its quite well done. although its like... not really to what we can do. i think we got a lot of potential to do alot better. i am looking forward to a concert, a superb concert.

tonight is the best night i've ever had for the entire moonfest. first, chunann announced that he is going to plan a series of training to train our tempo and flow. this is a very significant and delightful thing, i personally think this is going to change our drumming lives like never before. it will bring a new enjoyment and excitement in drumming, so please dont give up on music theory and tempo stuff so easily.

and shixiong asked marc whether he can learn 'endeavour' in time for a performance and marc said that he dont want to learn the score cause of some personal reason. at first i thought he was showing a bad attitude and just being stubborn, like the marc i used to know who acts on impulse and makes me worry. i realise marc is not the same. i remember i saw that cgssb was not really a team, a family. now marc sees the lack of unity in zingo among some members. it is great that he sees this cause. honestly i didnt really notice it, it serves as a great reminder that something is not right in our organisation.

however im quite disappointed that i still cant get the answer to whats the vision of zingo. im quite tired of going nowhere. honestly i think the reason we dont practice hard is because we dont have a goal to work on, we dont have a goal to reach where we know we still have a long way to go. take for example, when i was not selected for lake odyssey. i practiced and practiced so i could be worthy for a place to perform on stage for upcoming performance, i had a goal to work towards at that time, thats why i practiced hard. i hope that there will be a common goal for all zingo-ians to work towards and WORK HARD FOR IT!

    gogo zingo!

we need damn good competition or burning passion.
    Saturday, September 13, 2008

argh. i think for all the performances at moonfest are... not that good as i expected it to be. i think we really are complacent, to the extent that we are moving backwards, we are 'deproving'. i know i'm not playing at top form, not playing to MY own expectations. also, many of the drummers are performing below my expectations. even though i feel that tonight's performance is the best one so far, i still dont think its up to the standard. (are my expectations too high?)

actually i dont think my expectations are high at all. i just want the whole performance to be smooth and steady, tempo wise. that is all i ask for, what does good tempo do? it syncs all the drum beats together, it makes the flow of the performance silky smooth, it creates this indescribable feeling in my heart, makes my heart beat with the drum. for so long we've heard that playing the score fast does not mean the performance is good but playing it to the tempo is.

tempo is such a basic thing in music. can we call ourselves musicians if we dont even know this basic element in music? even my uncle drumset instructor emphasizes on tempo. im sure that if we get to know some basic music theory, our 'music' will get closer to becoming music. but im afraid.. im afraid that we might get back to square one, trying to get a taste of drum beats so different from what we're playing right now, trying to learn how to play drums over again. im afraid it might be too time consuming but trust me, understanding music theory makes drumming a hundred times easier, only if you are willing to go through the 'trouble' to learn it. it might be hard for some but its definitely worth more than just ai zai your way through the score trying to play the correct stuff by luck.

i hope you(whoever that is) dont give up on it, dont say 'why must you make it so complicated? its just drum beats'

oh and i like this kind of performances. see, im so loving it now. now i dont feel like going for those commercial performances at all.

step by step. patience does it!

still not there yet, getting fed up.
    Wednesday, September 10, 2008

i think i dont know whats the aim of zingo alr. i forgot where are we heading, what are we aiming for. i cant find the common goal anymore, i need some confirmation.

if zingo is heading towards going professional. i think maybe the 'professional' we are heading towards is not really what i was expecting.

professional - i think this is just a status, there are many classes of professionals. you can be damn good in something but dont really care much about other not so important stuff. ok for zingo's case its drumming.

i think we need to do anything that is within our reach to get closer to that goal rather than just go with majority and what they feel is more comfortable. to me, there must be some things that must be done, need to be done. a lot of this must/needs have becomed wants. maybe some people just wanna get the title of 'professional', just to be good in drumming. i want something more than that, i want zingo to be good in alot of other stuff that earns the respect of other people. maybe it could be image, organisation, manners, responsibility.. whatever. anyway, im being fking honest here, i dont think our drumming is anywhere near professional. our skills have been stuck at this level for dont know how long and it doesnt really get anywhere. honestly im kind of fed up with it i dont wanna care so much about it. i mean who really take the initiative to pracise at home in hope of coming up with a better performance? chunann said that no one really practises at home, kinda true. so why are we still doing all this? are we going to be complacent? lets not waste time here, lets go some where higher. more effort is all it takes, get out of your fucking comfort zone.

and who is the leader of zingo again? i kinda forgotten alr. i dont know who to look up when i got some doubts to clarify. who is the in charge of the performance? why does zingo seem to have so many leaders? stop confusing me, i need an answer. even america needs a leader.

thank you ms pearlie for giving me time off (with pay) rather than the unpaid leave that i applied for. sorry you wont be seeing me tmr, i'll be rocking at the esplanade. muahahaha!

anyway im very superficial, beware. if you are not pleasant to the eye, hide yourself from me cause i wont be wanting any business to do with you. so for you pretty guys and handsome girls out there that have absolutely no problem talking to me, congrats! you should be america's next top model in no time, if you're not, sign up for other country's top model show or america's next next top model.

ok i was kidding ( wasn't that obvious?) and i always joke around. i'm not really very superficial, as long as you're good and fun to hang out with then i'm good with you. just wanted to clarify this because someone mentioned this to me. (and really hurt me but too bad you cant see my tears) i will put in this smiley to show you that i am really hurt and sad about it  :'(

there you go. you have seen the weaker side of me, now go.  go and help me fulfill my dream of catching all the pokemon in the world! sorry im very random. good night. (im very sudden too)

DEDICATED TO THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT ZINGO DOES

WE ARE A GROUP OF DRUMMERS THAT LIKE TO DO QUITE A LOT OF STUFF.

FOR EXAMPLE, WE LIKE TO 'IKUZO'

WE ALSO LIKE TO DRIVE CARS.

    WE DRUM.

hello! im so shag this week. i have to wake up at 7 plus and go to work from monday to friday, then i have to wake up at 7 plus for drum and i woke up at 9 plus today for my cousin's wedding. argh, i'm so not used to it. i'm super tired.

yesterday we had 3 full dress rehearsals during drum practice and it was crazy. crazy tiring. my arms were aching and err.. i hate to say this, there seems to be something wrong with my wrist. my right wrist hurts every now and then but its getting more often now, i experienced the pain for 2 consecutive weeks alr. damn it. i dont know whats the reason for this but i hope some stretching and warm ups can prevent this =\

oh yeah and this week is going to be a busy one. moonfest is coming up and it will be on from 10th to 14th september. zingo will be performing in it. performance time varies on different days so if you are interested you can check out the timings.

okay for moonfest.. i'll be honest, i didnt really put in 100% belief that i will be able to perform at moonfest until this week, when i started my attachment. for now i hope everyone would give it their best, i think some people are not good enough. how many years have we been playing drums? are we really serious about drumming? i think we would have been better if all of us just put in a little more effort. ok what i mean is the drum troupe will have some drummers who are just plain talented (like me), ok just kidding.. and some who are not as good. we all know that for a drum performance to be good, drums beat as one and drummers move as one. so how the heck can we put up a good performance when some drummers are still unsure about the score, still depending on others to constantly remind them of what to play now, what to play next. you know, when it comes to playing drums. if you're off, you're off. now the problem is what if you're off when you're still performing? its a no brainer that you still need to continue playing the score but if you continue playing that off sync-ed shit like no one's business then you really have no brains. pardon me if i sound very rude or something but this is business, no joking around. ok back to the topic, you gotta get back in sync with the others playing the correct thing and i know its kinda hard if you're not that good (like me, LOL JUST KIDDING!). i dont think we lack the skills to play the score well but i think we dont know the score well enough. if you're playing wrong stuff, you can easily get it back if you really know the score. the bottom line is, get to know the score better. of course im not saying that you can make mistakes as you want during performance as long as you can get back into the score. i still hope that performances would be as perfect as it can be, i just hope people dont make mistakes and continue making them. it may spoil the performance and maybe the next thing you know is you got some haters around you, waiting to teach you a lesson. LOL

ok thats all for today, i still got work tmr. you're dismissed.

    Thursday, September 4, 2008

yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! today is... yeah.. work again. but not really work. cause, i didnt really do anything at work. but you see, im still at work. so.... yeah, i'm at work.

all i did for 'work' was.. go to the production area and had my tour guide bring me around, which i already did with another tour guide. well i didnt bother to mention i already did the tour cause... you know, i wanna learn more stuff (YEAH RIGHT!). ok the tour was about 1 hour plus. so the rest of the time i was slacking in office, facing my laptop finding stuff to do. actually i could have gotten a job assigned by some project manager, he was asking me to send a package thru dhl, then he asked me whether i know how to do and i said no. so he asked me to just help him find a cardboard box to put the item in and then he will settle it himself but suddenly i felt like nature was calling me so i went to the toilet to relieve myself. when i came out, GUESS WHAT?! HE ALR FOUND A BOX! so i went back to my desk and sat down.. again! LOL!

ok today was kinda boring, i went out of news to read at msnbc. damn. ok the Sarah Palin speech was.. err, its kinda like a.. morning kind of.. err, well.. its kinda, its kinda good! yeah! haha... i think she had some good skills in 'shooting' and 'suaning' other people but well i guess its kinda in all the politicians. so if you're planning to be a politician, make sure you can take criticism and well, maybe sarcasm very well and also how to FIRE BACK!

oh yeah, i saw ms pearlie today when i was going on 'tour', she called me over and told me to bring ic and bla bla bla tmr. what an experience, she's quite chio you know... or maybe im just too damn bored, running out of news to read. ahha =x

    Tuesday, September 2, 2008

HEY! as usual, i went to work today. went to the bus stop, took the bus, went to work. then i realise the stupid laptop wasnt here yet, so my boss lent me his 'spare' laptop (some other guy lent it to him, LOL) THAT LAPTOP WAS NOT BAD AT ALL! it was a NEC laptop, 2 ghz 2 gb ram and the graphics was nvdia 8600 gs i think. it was windows vista ultimate! it had msn live msger!

ok then my senior taught me how to use this program called MSGPro, it checks the item no, location, site blablabla. basically it checks the info of parts, helps me in writing down the info needed for IRV (shit i forgot what IRV stands for, gotta check it out tmr) ok then after the lunch break i went to take out some items from store. when i went back the apunehmeh was alr at my desk with the laptop, SAD LA! THE LAPTOP SO JABALANG! stupid toshiba. 1.66 ghz and 512mb ram only and theres not cool vista for me to play with. T_T OH AND IT DOESNT HAVE WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER! Aadk! it only has the damn retro windows messenger. shits, i gonna try running live msger thru thumby tmr. ahh, anyway i had to return the laptop to my boss, it was a laptop assigned to a manager afterall. different class deserve different treatment, REALITY HITS HARD! (actually not that hard, it just a laptop)

but i like to play with vista, so cool. ok tmr is a good day, i can read world news at msnbc in the early morning sipping on coffee made in the office. GOSH WHY AM I LEADING THIS KIND OF LIFE? LIKE SOME MIDDLE AGED MAN! nvm i think its kinda good actually. can do nothing and read news in the morning. hmm, yeah and you know thailand protestors may break loose tmr. oh and google is going to launch their new internet browser to counter IE 8. oh and people are suffering cause of hurricane gustav, donate some money if you can. see, i know so much now! HAHAHA!!!111oneoneeleven

    Monday, September 1, 2008

ITS THE FIRST DAY OF ATTACHMENT AT GES! well it kinda went well. i was the 'lucky guy' who got posted to R&D department and i kinda like this department. the whole department is located in the building next to the main one, there's a big office some meeting rooms and some test labs. feels kinda cool working there you know, i have my own table and they are going to assign a notebook to me. i also got this tag that i have to scan in and out and i think im going to get a department jacket, sounds cool eh!

i went accompany my 'senior' to run errands and i borrowed my colleague's jacket, he went home cause he suddenly got a flu. THEN I REALISED HIS JACKET GOT SOME UNKNOWN FLUID ON IT WHEN I WORE IT, it might be mucus. i hope its water. yucks, never mind. then we went to the main building, it was so cool. we explored alot of departments and she told me we can go anywhere we want cause we're wearing the R&D jacket, so cool la! so we went around and we got lost for awhile.. LOL. i have a lot of stuff to register to my memory.. ahhh

well today was kinda boring cause the laptop wasnt here yet. so i read the standard operating procedure of the department, it was so damn boring. i was given 2 hours to read that 60 page thing and only about 15 pages was important. so i spent the rest of the time doing nothing, mostly stoning and trying hard not to fall asleep. then i went for lunch, followed my coursemate to some coffeeshop with his colleague and ate. then i went back to the office and did nothing until my senior asked me to accompany her to run errands. when i came back i slacked awhile, talked to the boss and went home. its so convenient! i only have to take 856 to go to work or go back home. =D

oh the working hours kinda suck, 0830 to 1745. argh. 9.25 hours per day! and some good news, i heard from my senior the laptop has msn, so i can log in to msn and chat if there's no work to do but i cant play games =(
